In this artwork, “Darkness defines the light,” I explore the profound journey of personal empowerment and spiritual awakening. At the heart of this piece is a woman, a symbol of innate strength and wisdom, seated within the geometric precision of Metatron’s Cube. She is poised within the lotus, a representation of purity and enlightenment. Like the lotus flower, her spirit has traversed through the murky waters of challenge and darkness, ascending towards the illuminating embrace of the light above. This journey mirrors the lotus’ path, which begins in the depths and emerges through layers of water to finally bloom in the sunlight, untouched by the mud from which it arose.

The visual narrative of this creation reveals a spiritual out-of-body experience, where the third eye, the chakra of insight and intuition, is vividly activated. It signifies a moment of profound realization and the embracing of one’s personal power. This piece is deeply personal, inspired by a transcendent experience I had during an ayahuasca ceremony. It was within this ceremonial space that I voyaged beyond the veil of everyday consciousness, reconnecting with the core of my existence. The vivid colors, the surreal surroundings, and the central figure all encapsulate the intense clarity and transformational insight that marked my return to the profound understandings of who I am beyond the physical plane.
