To take flight, we must first surrender the weight.

“Metamorphosis” lives as an echo of the alchemy that was required to heal. Created in the wake of a profound journey with the Shipibo tribe in the Amazon, this piece documents the moment I stopped fighting my physical reality (Multiple Sclerosis) and learned to transcend it.

The Rift The vision began with a slit in the fabric of space-time. I moved through the rift and emerged first as a Butterfly. In that moment, the weight of the world vanished. The suffering, the diagnosis, the density of the body—all of it evaporated. I was left with pure presence. I was weightless.

The Embodiment From this state of absolute lightness, the rift opened again, and I stepped through to become the Black Panther. I returned to the physical form not as a victim, but as a guardian—grounded, powerful, and stalking the shadows with a new sense of freedom. The art captures that pivotal transition: the moment the spirit learned it could be light as a feather, even while walking the earth.

The Anatomy of Release The artwork visually anchors this purge. The figure’s lower half is enshrouded in shadow. This is the lower abdomen, the vessel where the body stores psychosomatic trauma. But look at the spiral. An upward surge of energy syphons this darkness from the gut, transmuting it as it rises. It clears the path for the Heart Center to breathe, to expand, and to ignite.

The Bloom The radiant yellow circle at the heart center is that ignition. It is the return to innocence. The butterfly wings remind us that true power is not heavy; it is fluid. We do not just heal to survive; we heal to fly.

When viewed through the app, the metamorphosis completes itself. The static wings detach and begin to flap gently from behind the figure, and the yellow energy of the heart visibly pulses—flowing outward in a rhythm of pure life.
